Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Part Time Payroll Specialist to join the Finance team in Pyrmont 3 days per week. Reporting to the CFO you will manage the end-to-end payroll, provide administration and HR support to employees and occasionally assist with accounts payable.

As the Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll cycles accurately and on time.
  • Calculating wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses based on timesheets and other relevant records.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
  • Generating and distributing payroll reports to relevant departments.
  • Assisting in the onboarding process by collecting and processing new hire payroll information.
  • Coordinating with HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration into the payroll system.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting payroll-related tax reports and filings.

 

As the ideal applicant you will be:

  • Degree in business, accounting, or a relevant field
  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll manager within the construction industry
  • Collaborative and independent work capability.
  • Well-organised with strong attention to detail and good time management.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as Coins and Xero will be considered advantageous
