We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join the New Business team based in Perth, WA. Reporting to the Head of New Business, as the Junior Estimator you will support the business in the preparation of cost plans/estimates and contribute to the preparation of tender packages, contract letting and any other commercial processes of the project lifecycle.

As the Junior Estimator, you will:

• Assist in the preparation of hard dollar tender estimates for new business opportunities;
• Assist in preparing feasibility, square metre and elemental cost plans, and price bills of quantities on potential business opportunities
• Assist in the preparation and tender of selective trade packages to provide competitive bidding to all internal bids
• Assist in reviewing designs and provide value engineering options
• Review documents and formulate a letting schedule
• Assist in producing a comprehensive scope of works for each trade
• Assist with the tender submission including the preparation of qualifications and exclusions to any tender, or deviation from any tender requirements.

As the ideal applicant you will be: 

• Tertiary qualification in Building and Construction, Quantity Surveying or Project Management – Cert IV or higher.
• Prior exposure to Estimating
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of construction processes
• Industrial experience will be considered highly advantageous   
• Good commercial acumen and analytical thinking
