We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team in Adelaide. Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the State Manager and Contract Administrators to complete Contracts Management duties that deliver effective commercial outcomes.

As the Contracts Manager you will:

  • Review contract administrators work on a daily basis and coach them in the performance of their daily duties Max ten bullet points. Quality of description is more important than quantity here.
  • Oversee multiples project at a time and maintain a working knowledge of commercial and contractual details for each
  • Manage Head Contracts including contractual notices, progress claims and variations.
  • Manage any dispute with the Client and ensure CIP Constructions interest is protected.
  • Successfully monitor and control all costs associated with projects and being able to break up budgets into the relevant trades
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of projected cost of a project to achieve targeted margin at project completion 
  • Produce a comprehensive scope of works for each trade Tender analysis and special conditions of a subcontract
  • Evaluate tenders, hold post tender discussions and recommend award

As the ideal applicant you will be:

  • Tertiary qualified in construction management, engineering, law or similar.
  • Similar experience with Industrial projects greater than $20 mil in value
  • High developed interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Deep understanding of Construction Head Contracts, Subcontractor Agreements, Industry Legal Frameworks
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills
  • Coaching and leadership skills
